I bought a used mazdaspeed exhaust from fellow forum member thinking that it could be installed within a few hours.

I have been to 4 different muffler shops and everyone has said that they would have to butcher it in order to make it fit. I can't get a refund for the exhaust i bought so i am asking anyone out there to help me out.

Does anyone know someone who has installed a mazdaspeed 3 exhaust on a mazda 5?

Thats Odd, I sold mine to a fellow member 2 years ago and he had it put on the next day with no problems...

might be a problem

the oem speed3 cbe might not work with your M5. i doubt it's even interchangable.

the muffler shops are probably right when they told you that they would need to cut the cbe in-order to install to your M5. a buddy of mine tried to install my cbe to his P5 and just for that application....we would have to cut (and weld) a lot of angles just to make it fit. not even worth it imho.

just sell the speed3 cbe and buy an aftermarket exhaust for your M5. an exhaust specifically taylored for your M5.

do you have pictures of the exhaust you bought? it should fit right up no problem, since the 3 and the 5 share platforms.

Ken @ protege garage ran a speed3 exhaust on his 5.
