yeah i think it might be the battery because the ground is really hooked up nicely to the battery negative terminal ground. and it takes like close to a minute to fire up when i first turn them on. so probably the battery....Now my lights are flickering. i also read about the problem, and im gonna use a 20v fuse for my head lights. see if that also helps, and im gonna replace the battery. i hope thats the problem.

are they ebay hid's? if so, thats most likely the problem......but change the size of the fuse also, when i had hid's they did the same thing you stated. i went from a 20 amp fuse to a 30 and worked like a charm.

they are the ddm tunning ones. and i bought them off a guy from this forum. and im running 15 amp fuse i tried to use 20amps and they wouldnt even come on at all but they at least flicker with the 15amp fuses on. i mean i dont think the ballast are bad or something. both of the lights work. they just flicker and sometimes take long to turn on.

I had them grounded on the chassis, i grounded it to the negative terminal on the battery to get a better ground....i got a redtop optima battery from a friend yesterday. so i went to autozone to get a slow charge on it, will be picking it up tomorrow. maybe its the battery. i hope so. or else ill be trying that error code eliminator that is supposed to help with any problems with the hids form ddm tuning site. its only 15 bucks so it wont hurt to try them if the battery dont help at all.

is urs the one with the blue sport20 protege? you live in northern va? what part? im from norther va also. you might be the only one i will know around this area with the thing lol. and man im looking for one of those front lips that you have....if thats ur car.

UPDATE! so after seeing theevilm trying to do the door molding delete, i got interested and went ahead and did it to mine. here is a pic of it when it was all done!

I used that magic eraser that that one dude recommended you to use. Works like a charm

The Mr. Clean one or the pinstripe wheel? I heard that Mr. Clean is bad for your paint.

The pin stripe remover thing. And I used Goo gone to touch up at the end,then clean and wax lol
