Well the blanks are 85'ish, and the regrind by paeco (http://www.paeco.com/cams.html) is 210.. So around $300 per cam... I am not sure about how much crower is getting- but as mentioned in prior threads, paeco has been around for a long time, and works very extensively with mazda's.. Crower is a great name though too, I just wonder what kind of reccomendations they would make for the grinds....
Im getting some cams/head work done by Paeco soon, so I will let you know what specs they use for the cams. Ive pretty much just told them what rpm range I want, and they are going to work from that. Will soon find out - can't wait!

Those honda cams are specially made by crower and include billets in the price. I would recommend looking into what WEBcams can do....or even crower. There is a big difference in price between purchasing cams already made and having your own billet and having them ground. remember i only paid $100 for my regrind @ crower.

Man if we could get ahold of those parts...I was browsing the world challenge protoge's and found out most of what they have are mazdaspeed stuff(they even list part#'s on the tech sheets)except for the camshaft info

I'm getting my cams from a guy here in Canada. He's doing regrinds, and I'm getting 262 duration(209 @ .050") .342" lift cams for $240CDN. That's for BOTH. He's sending me the new cams, and I'm sending him my cores. I didn't plan on getting my good cams yet, but he wants me to test them for him, which is why I'm getting a good price. They're prototype items, and he just wants me to dyno them. Maybe someone should contact him, and see if he'll do some FS regrinds? If they work for one of you, he'll probably do a lot more.....

well next time you talk to him mention the fs and see if he would be interested in that, knowing most of us potential buyers are in the US and so forth....Does he have experience with just bp motors or both?

AFAIK, you can get the WC parts if you are a member. everything from Lexan windows to 4.88 final drives to the CP-035 wheels (<-- drool).

also, i know lexan is lighter than glass, but how by much are we talking about?
lexan (polycarbonate): 1.2 g/cm^3

glass: 2.59 g/cm^3

so assuming equal volume, the lexan windows weigh just less than half what the glass windows weigh (~46%).

Does anyone know about the hardened gear sets?? Are they for our transmission?
the speed challange cars use the 2.3l tranny's so i think it is for them

here is a cut-n-paste from EMCO:
0000-02-3701 GEAR SET, 3RD Hardened gear from Emco 23-31, 1.3478 for world challenge 11/21/2001
0000-02-3702 GEAR SET, 4TH Hardened gear from Emco 28-31, 1.108 for world challenge 11/21/2001
0000-02-3703 GEAR SET, 5TH Hardened gear from Emco 40-39, 0.975 for world challenge 11/21/2001

Did they have the 2.3L in the WC cars in 2001? If by chance these do go to our trannies, could you get some more info/price on them? Thanks Chris!

yea they started using the 2.3l tranny's this year, the price on the 4th and 5th gear is $942.00 each and they did'tn show the 3rd
