well, I'm the opposite of you..I dont like the sedan..

hwo the hood is designed...it's too tall...it doesnt have the same design as the 3 sport (braindead
Really, I've never notcied that they are different. Or do you mean that the regular 3 is different than the sport 3 but not the hatch version. Well s*** I confused myself now, I thought all 3's had the same hood.

What a coincidence. Tonight at a track in Tenn. I raced a 3. Beat him by like a mile per hour. Lol, he missed a gear though. He was cool about. Hi-boost would be a good thing to have :D

The 3 i and s sedans both have the same hood that stops at the grill, on the hatch, the grill and the hood are connected and lift up together.

On a side note, the P5 owns any 3 in terms of fog lights. I love having fog light wars with Subarus(rockon)

You guys definatly win the fog light war ;)

But we got cooler headlamps. Projector beams > j00 :D

I was trying to decide b/w the P5 and the 3, both a totally sweet. The P5 photographs a lot better than the 3, but in person I love the styling of the 3 more. (And the ass on this car ... unmatched. I just wanna tap that thing.)

Digitalpro: The Hatch and Sedan versions of the 3 share NO sheet-metal designs between the two. The hoods, fenders, doors, all that stuff is different on each model. The grill is part of the hood in the hatch (actually fits in it), but you have a flat (more Protege-like) hood on the sedan version. Take a closer look at them, the lines are smiliar but very different at the same time.

It's funny how some of you seem to equate facts with opinion.

Fact: The MZ3 is than the P5 with the same driver.
Opinion: The P5 looks better than the MZ3.

And ProtegeLX, you really believe you gained 10 to 20 hp with a CAI and a cat upgrade?

You could make the P5 a lot faster than the 3 spending the same amount of money. I'm sure that everyone would agree that a turbo P5 would be a lot faster than a N/A 3.

I see your reasoning, but to me at least, I do equate facts with opinion when buying a car! If I don't feel the seats and interior are comfortable, or that I don't like the look of the car, I will not want to drive it, regardless of how fast the car is.

personally, I think the Mz3 sedan is decent, it's not as much of an eye-sore as the hatch. But the hatch is just ass ugly. Looks like the illagitimate love-child of a matrix and a pt-cruser. When I was out car shopping I saw the 3-5 at the same dealership I eneded up buying my P5 from. I didn't even bother to test drive it because of its looks.

However, I have heard from people who have driven both that the P5 has more road feel, which IMHO makes it more of a 'drivers' car. That makes all the diference to me. If I was going to spend the extra money for a brand new car, and I wanted a cushony feel, I'd skip the 3 and pay the extra for the 6. I just love the feel of the ass end of my car starting to slip, ever so slightly, as I'm going 40 through a left hand turn at a stoplight. If you try to make a car too "comfortable" and "fancy" on the inside you loose that.
