Mazda5 w/body kit photos @ YVR

Hmm, I live in Richmond and I haven't seen these guys around yet. Will have to keep an eye out for the black w/ bodykit. Looks pretty good! :)

nice!! looks great, and welcome to ze forums!!! :D

you guys really need to stop making me want to trade my P5 for a MAzda5 haha.

touring vs sport

Trying to make final decision, and want to know if my thinking is sound.
Basically, the sport has everthing I want in it without having to buy any options. The remote control start and some kind of roof rack would be nice.

The differences betweent the two are from what I see

1)moonroof - I dont use it, and dont want to lose headroom

2) body colored mirrors- cosmetic, really doesnt make a huge difference to me

3)6 cd stereo w extra speaker- Listen mostly to local rock station and news, and talk radio, not needed for me

4)Rear liftgate spoiler- If its only cosmetic, not needed. Does it really do anything on a mazda 5?

5)Automatic climate control- I basically never use the heater, and the the a/c on full blast most of the time, so climate control not needed

6)Fog lights- have only used them once on my acura tl - not needed

7)Navigation option_- Dont want

8)Correct me if I am wrong- touring has leather wrapped steering wheel, and sport does not... Can someone tell me if theres a big difference between the two.

9) And the side sills- Are they just cosmetic or is there a purpose to them.
I have an aerodynamic kit on my tl, and tired of it getting scratched all the time, but please inform me if they have some value.

I am not trying to go chintz here, since a few hundred dollars is not going to break the bank, but I really rather have more headroom without the moonroof , and the other options, while probably nice to have, dont seem to be more then cosmetic.

Sorry for long post, but I will be using the mazda5 primarily as my city beater, probably putting on no more then 800 miles a month. It just fits so nicely as a utility vehicle for me, and the flexibility is great, and getting into a normal sized parking space is great. I am always worried about my other car, getting scratched and not being able to handle crap from home depot, ikea, my wifes jaunts buying shoes(lol) etc.

Stay safe

love them pictures.! I didn't know the 5 has the midnight blue I should've gotten that!

Awesome pics!!!

So how come I wasn't invited to the Mazda5 meet? I live in Ditchmond too!!!(pissed) (RTM)

Serioulsy, I will have to keep my eye out for you guys. Sick setups!!!

Cheers!

awesome picts, and I'll even jump in with my thoughts on a few of these:

1)moonroof - I dont use it, and dont want to lose headroom

I have it, can't tell that there is any headroom lost, it's still plenty roomy at the top for me. I rarely if ever use it, but when I've wanted it it was very nice to have.

5)Automatic climate control- I basically never use the heater, and the the a/c on full blast most of the time, so climate control not needed

I never use this either. if I could have opted out of this feature I would have, but it came with the rest of it.

6)Fog lights- have only used them once on my acura tl - not needed
These I do use, I like them. I wish they were brighter!

7)Navigation option_- Dont want
But you can tap the video input to it and play movies on the screen!

The rest, I have no ideas about so I left them out.

Tap into the NAV? How? I would love to have rear view camera send a feed to the nav screen when reverse is activated. Movies would be distracting.

COuldnt live with myself if i didnt spend the extra dough to have these.

1)The sunroof doesnt slide into the ceiling and doesnt take up and more room, so that argument is null.

2)Makes a huge diff to me. BLack mirrors remind me of a kia rio.

3)I have eardrums and they appreciate the extra sound quality.

4)Doesnt do anything but make the car look sexy and less minivan-ish
(think of it as a freebie)

5)Love the climate control. I nearly always drive with it on and am always completely comfortable. not too hot, not too cold.

6)I live in so-cal...not needed here but they look cool. Have you guys noticed the 4 blank buttons to the left side of the steering wheel? Well it bugs the hell out of me knowing that something was meant to go there but we dont have the option to because we live in NA. Luckily the buttons are small. When i see cars without fogs i see gigantic black gaping holes asking for fogs to be put in.

7)I was hungry and wanted to eat at denny's but i wasnt in my home area so i did a search for the closest dennys and ate 3 minutes later. It isnt just an expensive thomas guide, or mapquest map. The sexy lady voice tells you where the nearest atm machine is, and takes voice commands too! Woot.

8)Love my steering wheel. It hugs me back

9)just coemetic as far as i know....think of this as another freebie.

Can you say HIGHJACK?? (jacked)

Sounds like a Sport model will suit you just fine.

I love my sunroof but, then again, I live in Hawaii...

ON SUBJECT! (yippy)

I cannot imagine putting those front body kits on! I've already scraped the snot out the bottom edge of the "bumper". With those I'd be leavin' plastic all over the place and then to lower it, too!? (shocked)

That black one sure is sh-a-weet though! (first)
