mazda5 time attack

Well, I must have missed the other thread, so...

Thanks for posting this, I loved it!

Mazda 5 ROCKS!(first)

Keep zooming

Damn, I just watched it... those drivers are NUTS! But the 5 is pretty kick ass drifting around those turns (first)

Good find ! Best Motoring and Option are the best. Almost like the Japanese version of Top Gear.
I knew the 5 had good handling. Nice to see it killing the Hondas and the new MPV! After watching that vid I really need to autocross the 5 ! :D

Man the Mazdas owned those hondas. Just goes to show you, there is zoom zoom DNA in every car mazda builds.

I couldn't believe the 5 had its tail hanging out like that.

In your face Honda! I have a Honda as well. They are reliable but they really have a lack of stamina.

Of course it's not F1 and the Mazda 5 is not a race car, yet, Who the heck said that the Rondo is a match? (poke)

The Japanese Mazda MPV style looks neat, not sure if it will ever make it back in the US or Canada.

Just Curious: It would be cool to see one Mazda5 5MT vs. 4AT w/manual

Zoom Zoom!

A rondo equipped with the v6 would smoke the 5! They've got GIDDYUPINESS MAN!!!!(nailbyt)

Good point Donas64. I'll admit that it is fair enough to be smoked with a V6 on a straight line track (i.e. 1/4 mile, Dragster style race), no doubt.

But, on a racing track like the one shown: sharp curves, professional driving and a more realistic display of not just engine power but also chassis stiffness, acceleration, braking and stability control. A V6 Rondo still winning on that environment? Don't take me like a crazy Mazda fan (or a mini-minivan fan), yet I would need to see it to believe it.

Fun Video. I think the MPV was a 23T which means it also had a 2.3L engine in a heavier car. Otherwise I think the MPV would have taken back the lead on the straight in the second lap. Not to take away anything from the 5. I love my 5... it just needs more power. Think I'll be talking to hiboost sometime in the future. Then the car will feel like this:(mj)
