I think most people are getting around 24 in mixed driving. The 14 Mazda 3 has the skyactiv engine which is designed for better fuel mileage. It's not a proper comparison. Many factors can effect fuel mileage, tire inflation, proper alignment, load, ambient temp, throttle usage, a/c use and fuel quality. Cruise control use can effect it greatly as well. Ask her to drive it one full tank being conscious of fuel mileage and see what happensI just bought a 2014 Mazda3 and only have 400 miles on it and I got 34MPG mixed driving on my first tank. Everything I've read online puts most people getting around 24MPG in mixed driving. What could be going on here?
