what does that mean exactly? a good price or bad price?
they should have some good incentives of 2010. not sure about inventory.

We just purchased a 2010 Mazda 5 Sport w/ automatic transmission in silver, with roof rack, cargo cover, soft cargo liner, and all weather floor mats.
Price WITHOUT tax/title/plates was $18,081
Tax at 5.5% in Wisconsin was $796
Plate transfer/title in Wisconsin was $99
We got the low price taking advantage of the $1,500 manufacturer to dealer money. We haggled with the financing, and got 4.9% for 72 months.

Well, not exactly. Base GS is 20,900 and auto is about a grand. Then there's freight, air tax, environmental levy (tires and battery recycling fee). so about 23000 before Provincial (if any) and federal tax (5%). Definately not cheap, but only about 2500 different from the base price of the sport (20900 vs 18510)
Less deals on new compared to the states because there is less competition in Canada for the new car buyer's dollar.

I have an internet price quote for a Mazda5 sport for 18,500.
Another quote was for 19,100, but was also offered the 500 loyalty cash (even tho not advertized for this model).
I want to do a cash deal. What price do you think I could get?
I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Just bought a 2010 Mazda 5 Sport, auto, red with sand interior, popular equipment (6cd,spoiler,door sills), and all weather floor mats. Out the door price (no tax or title yet) including destination and dealer paperwork fee was US$17,994.
In Missouri, USA we pay sales tax and title fees directly to the state when we license and title the vehicle, so don't know the total yet.
I highly recommend two of the three dealers I worked with. Both Laird Noller in Lawrence Kansas and Machens Automotive in Columbia Missouri worked very hard to get my business. Both were excellent, and I've got contact info if anyone wants it. PM me.
The third dealer was Bommarito of St Peters (St Louis, Missouri). They refused to provide a firm price through e-mail, but kept claiming that they would "beat anyone else's price" by $1000, $500, $350, $300; getting smaller and smaller each time I went to them with firm numbers from the other dealers. I gave them the boot when they said I had to be on the lot to get a price quote. That was a big red flag for a hard sell and a bait and switch on price. I do NOT recommend Bommarito of St Louis to any buyer.

glad you got what you wanted; FWIW, i've purchased both my Mazdas from Bommarito in St Peters with 0 issues; no hard sell and no bait and switch in my experience.

I don't want to hijack the thread with dealer bashing, and I'm glad you are happy with Bommarito and that we're both happy Mazda owners! I originally had high hopes for them because I read some good things about them on a couple forums.
I basically said, I'd like to buy a car that matches "that" car from your on-line inventory page. My local dealer will sell me the same one for $X. How much do you want for yours? I'm ready to buy. They said it was against their policy to tell me a price unless I was on the lot. I explained that it was a multi-hour drive for me and I wasn't about to drive up there to buy a car without setting the price first. They refused multiple times.
In my opinion, that puts me, the one with the money, at a distinct disadvantage. I would have invested hours off of work for me and my wife to drive up and back, or waste a Saturday for the whole family. All for what? The chance that they might change their "we'll beat anyone's price by $X" yet again? No thanks.
The other two dealers offered exact out-the-door prices via e-mail every step of the way, and neither changed their pricing or other details unless it was to MY advantage.
As they say, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."
In the end, all is well. I've got a new shiny M5 for what I think is a great price!

Anyone know what the S-pricing on a Mazda5 Sport with auto would be?
Or should I jump on the newspaper ad price of $16,075? They seem to only have one at that price, and it isn't on their website. Though another local dealer did have another at a similar price. Just a little suspect of how they only appear to have one at that price.

Are you sure this is a Sport with Auto and not Manual transmission? I bet they'll claim it is a mis-print and it should have said manual transmission. Manual transmission sports are regularly in the paper for anywhere from $16,495 on up. I've seen one for $15,995 but magically the price quoted on the lot was hundreds more.
If this really was for an automatic, KBrian is right, buy it!
