Mazda Turbo Kit (Partial) for 2.0 available

Well, reading the first paragraph, it says

"The parts that are included in this partial turbo kit are the same parts which power our popular MAZDASPEED Protege."

Keith

How much is that kit - and hey Keith@FP - any word on your turbo kit application for Automatic Transmissions?

A couple of weeks to make sure all the bugs are ironed out.

An actual Mazda kit for the FS engines is available, now. =) You have to get the extras, like the intercooler and exaust and all that. Just thought I'd mention it!

any idea what happens to our warranties?

and I also saw:

NOTE: THIS TURBOCHARGER KIT IS FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY AND NOT FOR EMISSION CONTROLLED ON HIGHWAY PASSENGER CAR VEHICLES.

I would expect your warranty would no longer apply to anything that could be related to the turbo system. Unrelated failures (say, interior problems or suspension problems) would still be covered.

That's what I get for a quick clance-over. :D

Cool, what's the price?

This would be nice for a vendor to pick up so they can fab the rest of a kit around it so the MSP guys can have an upgrade.

few notes...
this turbo kit is basically the same thing as the port installed kit for the msp, therefore no parts were modified to be used with a normal pro...

with this in mind, there's a few things you might want to get or consider...

-oil cooler... look in picture "sack E", the banjo bolt has a hose fitting on one end... this is meant to be connected to the oil cooler's water hose inlet line... if you chose not to use the mazdaspeed oil cooler then you will either a) get a custom made/different banjo bolt b) get a hose block off cap
-radiator and intake hoses... these hoses are meant to be used with the factory diesel radiator and intercooler... if you choose to use something aftermarket, then you will need to hack something up
-welding of aluminum... unless you're handy and a cheap bastard, you don't need to **** with that s***... you can get the factory upper oil pan block from the msp which has the mounting hole already made to fit the oil return line... the part number is FSAX-10-380 and costs $188.60 racer's price

as for the very nice oil return line flange in "sack A", people who want to use this piece with their aftermarket turbo for a very secure turbo oil return line installation, the parts are (prices are racer's price):
oil return line flange 0000-88-C75 $39.50
bolts 0000-88-C35 $0.95
washers 0000-88-C36 $0.50
gasket N3A1-14-293 $2.05

$2363.85

the catch:
no fuel or engine management stuff
no warranty
small turbo
must be registered racer to buy it
