MAzda Speed sub

:
Mazda MP3
Hey does anybody know where I can get some pics of how to install the MSP sub onto an MP3. Or maybe some 411 on how to do it and some pics on how the brakcets hold up the box for the sub and amp.:)

The deal w/ the MSP sub was a bad voicecoil...it was a warranty issue, and not a problem anymore (at least in my experience). Kenwood otherwise makes good s***, and I can use the $$ for performance mods instead of replacing an already good speaker! (IMHO)

As for switchin' out the MP3 sub w/ the MSPs, I'm not sure. I know that the MSP sub-box is a structural part of the vehicle, acting as "rear tower braces" and helping to stiffen the chassis. I also know that when they replaced my sub @ the dealership, it took the guy 4 hours! That wouldn't be so bad if it was DIY, but I have a feeling that it's a royal b**** to get it in & out. Good luck though!

the reason why I got the MSP sub was b cuz I bought the Mp3 without the sub so I bought the MSP sub just b cuz it saves a lot more room when I move in and out of college. U guys think if a i took it to the dealership they might install for free.

kenwood makes bad ass speakers.......i don't care what anyone says....hop into a car with kappa perfect infinitys.....now that is sound quality

I agree on the Infinity's...I used to have a set of 6x9's in my old car, crystal clear, with amazing response. But Kenwood I feel makes good stuff too...maybe not Infinity level, but still good.

So nobody knows where I can get some info on that.
I'm not sure if a dealership w/ install that for free...I'm sure that's something they would charge you for...but as for doing it, they should be able to no prob. Good luck!

How are the MP3 subs mounted?? Cause I knwo the MSP one rattles like s***, and doesn't sound the greatest. What was that you were saying about a bad voice coil??? Please help me out a little too, becaue It sounds worse than ever, thinking about replacing it. And i've heard the mounting of it was a b**** to do(MSP) tell me how the MP3 mounts, maybe I'll conider remounting it, cause the plastic it's mounted in is really bad, and provides horrible sound, you'd be better off taking everything apart, and putting it in a wooden enclosure behind one of the wheels, mounted verticall. Where it mounts gives bad trunk clearance, I ahve to put my hockey equipment in the back seat it's soo bad.

yo dallas,
still interested on how to install it?
i might be able to help

Related (sorta) question... I've got an Infinity 10" sub in my current car that I'm wondering if I could hook up in addition to the Kenwood sub already in the car - anyone know if that's fairly simple to do on the MSP?
