Mazda ranks 11th - 2012 JD Powers Initial Quality Study

:
2022 CX-5 Turbo
Or 10th, together with BMW.
Remind you that this is only "initial quality", not long-term reliability.

There is no way that Mercedes Benz can rank anywhere near the top. Newer Benz's are one of the most maintenance heavy cars out there. They can't go a mile without something going wrong.

All I know is our 2010 CX 9 has needed 1 new gas cap. Our 2009 Prius needed a new Hybrid drive water pump. (bought a hundred thousand mile warranty on that rolling computer) A recall for floor mats, a recall for throttle work. [However, it does get 46 - 51 MPG on the open road at 75MPH sustained speed. (that's the open section speed limit in Texas)]

The list is only the initial 3-month problems reported from survey.
This, no way, represents long-term quality, which I agree BMW and MB are usually at the bottom half.

drchuck,
our Prius (05) had the same recalls, but no other issues at all. However, my wife drives very few miles.
It has only about 40K!!!

Apparently, they can go about 91 days trouble free...
