Mazda Protege Owner Photos

Dub - what kinda rims are that in the pic of your car with the BC2 kit? They look pretty good, I have been having a hell of a time trying to find some good looking rims for this car, that go well with the Sand Mica. So far I am basically in love with the Rota SubZero's and the Motegi LC5's which I'd love to get my hands on some of those because they are only 15lbs a piece.

I had 18" Sport Max 786s I think.

oh yeah, btw, the "ass girl" isn't jail bait ;)

At this point, I don't see myself putting any kind of body kit on another car agian. It does look damn sexy, but you'll find yourself with more of a headache because of all the chips and cracks that come from it.

Amen to that brother, I've said the exact same thing too many times. People told me not to get a body kit before I did but I didn't see the problem until after I got it. Never again :)

Nice WRX btw, very sexy(thumb)

Ya I am very unsure about putting the kit on especially since all I've heard is bad s*** about the kit. I mean I bought it for cheap, but I'd rather sell it and put a MSP kit or MP3 kit on there...that was my original plan from the start with this car, well right up there with boosting it of course.

Dub - Thats good that she's not jail bate...I feel less bad about posting that comment on myspace haha.

not to hurt anyones feelings but boosting a n/a protege is going to cost u a ass load of cash, there are so many things you are going to have to account for. That's why I bought my STI. If u don't already have a msp, of lists of cash , might as well trade it in. I'd recommend a wrx to anyone. I love Mazda but to make a n/a zoom-zoom, had to give it up :(

Basically if you want any kind of good power, you'll need a GRIP of money for these cars, its a known fact that they are not naturally aspired race cars. lol.

Thats why is just going to be CS exhaust and Injen CAI and that will be it. lol.

unless u got a 1.6 :-)

boosting a n/a protege is worth it to me! i have enough power and it didn't cost that much. i like having something different and it surprises everyone. :)

Thats the boat I'm in I like being different...when I went car shopping I was actually shopping for a Mustang or Camaro. And then a truck, and then the guy is like...well your credit is decent but you can't afford the payments on a Mustang or Camaro and insurance would be through the rough.

And then he pointed out a Sunfire, I told him to **** off...I wanted something less gay and that was a 5spd and my protege was the only MT car on the whole lot. And it already looked like someone tried doing the ricer thing to it with some cheap ass "ruff racing" wheels and a bulls*** "makeshift" CAI made from large rubber hose and a cheap hack job of a cat back exhaust.

But I took it from being jacked up to cleaning it up and putting decent parts on it, other than my Ebay "mazdaspeed" seats ebay header (same specs as the OBX header)

I'm satisfied with my car and its almost paid off lol..STi's are nice and I'd love to own one but it just isnt in my budget and with me being deployed and getting all sorts of different chunks of money (enlistment bonus..the last of it, tax return, and a per diem check for being deployed) it makes it not too bad for me to boost my car and I've already got most of the parts and what I don't have I've found used through MSP owners here in TN.

not gana lie, i really want some fog lights :[ it does look nice tho +1 for mostly stocky. gana remove my cornors when i get my car fixed again...

i really want some fog lights

+1...I have fog deletes since when I bought my car it had to holes where the fogs were and the wires hanging out for the fogs. (makes me ask myself what was I thinking when I bought the car, haha) I have some aftermarkets from autozone installed behind the center grill, but i'd much rather have the stock ones as it makes the front look so much cleaner! I just can't force myself to put that much money out for fogs.

Thanks Drake for the link, the car doesn't look too bad other than the rice additions to the car (ie. neons, graphics, etc). do you have any better or more clear pics of the car? That aren't on the car domain page?

Dub - after reviewing your car some more I think that it is just the fact that you're runnin the stock wheels and thats why it didn't look like other cars with the same suspension setup. My apologies. If it makes you feel any better, your car was the inspiration for me to paint my car white lol. If infact I don't stay with the Sand Mica lol.

Car looks clean man. I like you suspension setup. If you can find a sedan front bumper lip, side skirts and a rear lip that would look hot too besides the MSP kit.

I'm doing it too, I'm just shooting for a reasonable 240 whp and not 300+.
