So, I have had a CX-7 GT for a day now. Silver, leather seats, moonroof etc, almost loaded.
I got to say, I could actually see myself owning one of these. Quite an impressive rig....hard on gas, but still, quite good. Not the best day here for driving quick with tons of snow and all, but I still got a good feel for it.
My father, who is in the market for something like this LOVED it. I couldn't get the keys away from him! He's tried the new CR-V, RAV etc, and he was never impressed with their "SUV" feeling and lack of power in the CR-
V at least. Same for me really. I just don't get that feeling in the CX-7. It's quite nimble, very comfortable, and even with the crappy bridgestones the AWD did pretty good in the snow we had today. The TCS system certainly has a rough feeling to it when it kicks in that is for sure, much rougher them my MS6's when it happens but it seems to work quite well.
Few things I would change though. The first thing would be the bridgestones, MY GOD the tire noise is hideous, and they ride really rough. This one only had the 6 speaker stereo which was so so for me. The "feel" of some of the buttons just doesn't do it for me, which is odd since I'm used to my MS6 which shouldn't be much different but i tell ya it is. Manual tranny would be cool but not a deal breaker. The heated seats in my MS6 are certainly better too.
Nice bit of room, nice and wide, handles sharp, great looking, doesn't feel anything like a typical boring SUV. Doesn't seem to have any of the typical dis-advantages that a SUV has but it does have the SUV advantages you do want.
Great Rig.
Why do I have one? My MS6 is in the shop awaiting a new part
