Mazda EZ-60 and CX-60e?

Came across Japanese social media posts about Changan Mazda releasing a new model called the “EZ-60” in China soon…There appears to be teaser and testing pics floating around the net now…If there’s going to be an EZ-60 in China, we will likely see a CX-60e in Europe.

I wonder what this means if anything for the North American market?

It appears the new EZ-60 has been revealed...Thanks to taku2 on X for the heads up!

So far I really like what I see here...Massive improvement over the CX-4 styling.

I like the EZ-6/Mazda6e styling but if this EZ-60 is any indication of future Mazda EVs (especially SUVs), than I'm really excited to see more...Mazda should take this opportunity to really push the envelope with design since the focus may shift away from the powertrain.

More of the EZ-60 has been revealed...Pics from taku2 on X...
Straight on rear view is a little awkward, but I think that's from that aero design in the 3/4. Really like the front end and the front 3/4 view, and the design with the headlights and how well those are integrated into the bumper.
I wish something like this or the CX60 was available in Canada because I would be coming back to Mazda.

I was thinking the same thing, rear view may take some getting used to but the other angles are quite attractive.

The EZ-6 has intriguing elements but the EZ-60 design has really caught my attention.

Looking forward to seeing the interior next…

taku2 on X continues to deliver, now with interior pics! While I'm a big fan of most of the EZ-60 exterior, I'm not so sure about the interior...May be a bit too futuristic although it's got to match that dynamic exterior...

I wonder if adjustments to the interior would be made depending on the market. Not sure yet how I feel about the interior, it's definitely intriguing and futuristic but need to see more pics etc...Ideally of course in person but I'm pretty much sold on the exterior already...

Steering wheel looks nice, seats look interesting. Still doing split-open armrest, which I'm not a big fan of. Screens look huge.

How does the passenger side front airbag deploy?

Good question! I'm not familiar with the airbag requirements in China but perhaps if this is sold in other markets, there will be a different infotainment layout? Seems like that would add cost and complications though...

Here's another pic from taku2 on X...

It's about time Mazda came out with a nice purple. That rear is just not doing it for me, though.

Agreed. I feel like it needs more body lines or design cues to give it more character. It's nice, but not memorable IMO.

Yeah the rear is the only part I'm not completely sold on, love the other angles though...The exterior lines are a lot more "taut" than Mazda's current ICE models.
