This is getting installed Monday along with my ECU reflash @ Polar Mazda in White Bear Lake, MN.

They are chargig .9 HRS of labor and I paid $200.20 plus Tax.
The PN is 0000 8C A07C.

I can post pics when done if desired...

I had an afternarket one in my SVT Contour and a factory one in my Lincoln Mark VII LSC and consider them priceless.

Not all that bad of a price seeing as cost is $145 for the mirror. I've been thinking of ordering one for myself.

the wiring 'harness' is included. they do the whole install (directions are included, but i want to be able to blame someone other than myself incase it quits dimming or something 6 months down the road)...

maybe i wasnt clear...the mirror and install kit (wiring, temp sensor, instructions) was $200, and i will have to pay installation on top of that...did i pay too much for the mirror?

No I'd still say that it's not that bad of a price, especially for a dealer. Just depends on what the install comes out to.

I have one of these in my MP3. Took me about 30 minutes to put it in. I got it from here:

The instructions are very detailed, and straight forward. I love it at night, when some rude "fucktard" tries to put their brights on me. The mirror just cancels it out. (evil) The temp, and compass are priceless!

i got mine added to the sale of my P5 and the dealer installed it a few days after I bought it (had to wait for the parts). It's pretty cool. You'll notice the mirror is bigger than the stock one (viewable area). Also, you can turn the auto-dim off-on, and convert you temp settings from Celcius to Fahrenheit. What I found, is that if you don't have your rear windows tinted, its a GODSEND!!! But I recently tinted mine 15% all around and I notice the Tint helps block a lot of the glare. The mirror still dims it.....it kinda looks like really dim HID lights....it color corrects the standard headlight output up to cool HID color and dims it down. Its pretty cool. I wish I knew the wiring schematic of the harness, that way I could tap into the power lead on it and possibly power up my radar detector from it. I'm sure there is a way to do this.

Hi, I have two questions: Is the P5 prewired for this mirror? Also, I've been curious as to where the outside temp. sensor would be for this gadget. Thx.

The wires come with the mirror. All you have to do is route everything according to the instructions, and plug in the connetors to the back of the terminal block in the driver's side kick pannel. I accually posted the instructions in my thread about it way back... lemme see...

Hey Linux,
Thx for quick response. Still leaves one question unanswered: >where the heck is the outside temp. sensor?

The sensor is included in the kit and the directions show mounting it near the rad.

Gotcha. Thx, Ty. Now I think I'm gonna go get one for my P5, myself and take advantage of my dealer's offer: 15% regular price on parts & acc. for new customers for the 1st six mos. Is that a good deal?

:cool:HeHe, what am I waitin' for...gonna place my order 1st thing tomorrow. Thx for the nudge!:D
