some fd's came with a 500 or 550 hp version of that motor. banzai edition i think

but I dont think thats a factory option. Isnt that a company in florida that does full 3 rotor conversions on old FDs and sell them. I seen them in person...of course its alot more fun if you do it yourself. Price for the car isnt bad.

but yeah pretty much go on ebay and search up 3 rotor engines and you'll see alof of 20Bs from old cosmos

There are only a handful of these that people have brought the United States. There's one in ID that comes over to Oregon events from time to time.

I could be wrong, but I don't know that the Cosmo was ever sold under the Mazda name. They were under the Eunos name.

I need to dig up my Seven Stock pics from a few years ago. They always have some interesting models there.

Here's a friend of mine's car. He's a little bit of a nut with the RX cars. That white FC (10th AE) has a 20B in it also.

"The triple rotor 20B had two liters (1962cc) of displacement, which is quite large for a rotary powerplant."

Well it is 50% larger than the otherer rotary engines, so of course it's going to have a greater displacement.

Where was that quote from?

I love this body style, the original Mazda Cosmo Sport (110s)

even if you found one of these, it would be close to 50k if you wanted to buy it.. a very rare car indeed.

I know some of the newer mazda cosmo's came out with the 20btt, its a triple rotor twin turbo, goes very well, bit heavy though. They are sort of half luxury half sport.

These were not imported to the US. Made in right-hand drive only. Wankel engine. Jay Leno has one. It was featured on Speed TV on My Classic Car Thursday night. Interesting car.

The Cosmo name was used on a few Mazdas, so it can get confusing.

Jay had a poster of this image up in his garage. He liked the white go-go boots. His car is a 1970 IIRC.

Yeah...Interesting thread...Very cool car...I've seen a few late model ones (like below) for sale here in Japan and they really caught my eye...They have a very unique quality about them which I really like...not to mention it's a bad ass rotary MAZDA!

Does anyone have reliability information on these late model 20B Mazdas?
