Bought my beloved BT50 2 years ago, been fairytales ever since.
Wanted to do some preventative maintenance and was advised by the mec to do timing chain and oil pump.
After the job, my engine has a new sound, quite disruptive, a whining bearing kind of sound.
I'm told its the mesh from the new chain onto the old tensioner sprocket.
The noise moves with the rpms and worsens when the engine is hot.
Is this an oil pump noise or a timing chain meshing noise?
Much appreciated.
