This is getting very repetitive. Here is the details of the SU manifold.

http://www.**********.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SUFSIM&Category_Code=MSP_ENG

It can be compare it to whatever junk yard items you guys try. Like I said, bottom line here is that we have a similiar manifold, but not the same, and most importantly it fits and shows performance gains with out any problems.
does it come with install instructions? :)

Who here on the Forums is currentlly running a 626 manifold on their MSP??? Not counting the people attempting to do it this weekend and further time down the line. Just curious to see how many have gotten the 626 mani to work for our cars.

Cullen if you are so convinced that its not the same manifold I have a deal for you. I will pay you for the manifold, you ship it to me and have it to me this Friday, we will compare the 2 and if they are not the same I will keep it. If they are the same I will ship it back to you and you can refund my money.

How about that deal?

You know the story too. I explained to you the situation on the phone last month.

I get the manifolds for X amount. After RnD and other expenses, I sell them for Y amount. Thats how business works. You need to get over that. If you want a junk yard manifold then go with it. If you want one that works and shows gains, they are $545. I am not going to put junkyard manifolds on the site.

If you order a manifold, you will have to wait patiently to get it, there are 6 customers waiting in front of you.

Zero.

^^wtf

why don't we all stop the bullsh*t and wait for people to get their SU manifold and do reviews on them

The only information that I want is the reason that a consumer should pay $545 for the ********** Manifold instead of $45 for 626 Manifold. If there are differences, then the ********** manifold may be worth the money, but if not, why pay $500 more for the EXACT same thing?

And remember, the ********** manifold does NOT come ported and polished. That costs extra and is pretty simple to do on your own.

Maybe becasue its new and recasted? I do not think he went through every junkyard in america asked for 626 manifolds and cleaned them up so good that they look brand new. Im not sure on the specifics but I doubt these are used products my friend. Brand New products cost a premium. They may look similar but that doesnt mean its the exact same thing. It could be different...

its like saying Why pay $2000 for a block from mazda while I can get a complete old motor used for a couple under $1K. Or better yet why pay full price for a new protege when I can get a used one for $3K less?

I think this solution would End this BS.....

I would just like to know how many successful 626 IM swaps have been performed and whether or not there has been any gains from it (whats the point in swapping if there is no gains). ********** has posted his gains and I beleive they are legitimate. If we see gains from the stock 626 IM (without butterflies) you may have something, but I am doubting it.

i did a before and after dyno w/ the vtcs held open by a zip tie.
diff was 14hp w/ them held open. much better how the were stock.

Sounds more like you did that with the VICS, not the VTCS. Any time the car is warm, coolant temp is over 140* F the VTCS is already open. The problem with the VTCS is even when they are open they present and aprroximate 20% blockage in the port.
