Mazda 626 2010 2.5 v6

Sorry if this in the wrong area.. I have a 10, mazda 626 2.5 v6, it has the green /white check valve broken???

Does the intake need to be removed to replace this valve? Also can i use a basic check valve from autozone/Oreillys? or the dealer?
and finally if i use a basic blk/white check valve which way should it go?

They stopped making the 626 in 2002. Figure out what year your car is, then we can try to help you locate the correct replacement part.
