Hey guys i have a question i just bought a 2014 Mazda 6 GT, and the dealer dont have the roof rack.
I i am trying to see if someone knows where to get one, apparently Thule Brand doesn't have one yet.
Any help would be welcome.

Hey All,

First post here but not my first Mazda. Have a 05 Mazda3 Hatch in the garage, been on ************ for quite some time.

I have had a Thule roof rack setup on my 3 for a couple of years, take a bike or snowboards somewhere, been awesome to have.

Got the new mazda6 two weeks ago and decided to see if the setup I have fits... good news it DOES!

Thule 400xtr Rapid Footpack (this is the older model, replaced by 460R)
Thule Fit Kit 2135 (this should be listed as what fits a mazda5)
Thule RB47 bars (47" bars, the new AeroBlade is ARB47)

I got all my stuff from orsracksdirect.com

On the roof under the two black "gutter" strips, there are fixed mounting points on each side. I had checked Thule's site and the 2014 mazda 6 was not yet listed on there so I decided to figure it out myself.

To remove the trim, use a flat head screwdriver with a rag underneath as to not damage your new paint and pry it off. There are 3 clips, one one each end, and one in the middle. it should EASILY pop off. if you are torquing it hard, you're doing it wrong. *not liable if you break, bend, or scratch something*

You'll see the fix point mounting spots, small black brackets with a threaded hole in them. This is what the base will screw into.

I'd say the roof rack part is pretty self explanatory.

Onto the next piece of this puzzle... the black gutter trim pieces. I know that many members who wanted a clean factory appearance ordered new trim pieces from Canada or the UK, where they have cut outs with removeable covers that give you access to the fixed point. on my mazda3 i just measured twice, and drilled the holes with a drill. its not the cleanest but cheapest option by far. for the mazda3, those gutters were like $80-90 plus shipping. You'll see in my pics that i left the gutter trim/rails off, as this was merely a test fit.

good luck!
