how much were those rims?

$250 shipped off ebay.

how much do they weigh in comparison to the stockers on a P5?

Never had stockers, but these weigh in at 15lbs. on my bathroom scale, it has been pretty accurate to my knowledge.

update: Ima douche..........the rims I have here are 16 mazda3 rims, are they the same offset as the factory P5 rim?

It says (off 52.5) on the back, I've never had stock P5 rims, I got my car brand new and told them I wouldn't take it without 17's and tint. So they kept my stockers.

So my question is, what is the largest tire I can put on my car without rubbing on a stock M3 rim (pictured on first post on first page)......I hate potholes.

I have Eibach sportlines (near two inch drop), and 5000mile old Tokico blues, my struts are fine, clean and dry, my problem is that the Sportlines do a lot of work, however my struts will only allow one bound/rebound stroke per bump. I'm just not used to the roughness of the sportlines, I think I used the wrong word when I said bouncy, I meant that it is just a rough/harsh ride, I feel every little thing in the road, and by getting some 16" Mazda6 rims, and 205/50-16 tires, I will in fact solve my teeth chattering woes.


But I totally understand where you are comming from, I just used the wrong word I guess, sorry for the confusion.

yeah I have the same problem w/ same spring/ strut combo. The switch from stock rims to 17" w/ low profile rims, really made the ride harsh. i think you are going in the right direction w/ the rim change.
