New low profile tires usually make some amount of road noise (atleast my dunlops did) there is no way you are rubbing with 18's there are a couple of 3's around my way with chrome 19's so unless you have cut coilovers or have you house in your car your fine, but you are gonna need an alignment soon since upgrading to a bigger rim or you will be rubbing.
