Mazda 5 Gearbox problems

Hi there

We're in the UK, have a Mazda 5 2007 2.0 Diesel, 6 speed manual gearbox. We've had all sorts of problems with this car, but now we're stuck with it as it will no longer go into 5th or 6th gears.

I've searched, but there isn't too much info on the web about these cars in terms of active forums etc......is there a known problem with these gearboxes? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If anyone is aware of other forums to check out please let me know.

I have a Mazda5 down in southern France. Lost many gears a couple of months back, it was the cable controls got out of flunter. Garage fixed it quickly.

Many thanks, where were the cables going wrong, in the engine bay or where they connect to the gearstick?
