Mazda5 can't connect to code reader

My 2013 Mazda5 won't connect to any of the 3 different code readers we tried. There doesn't appear to be any blown fuses. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

My son-in-law works at National tire and battery and he tried both of the ones they had and then I stopped at AutoZone and had them try theirs so I have no idea what kind of device or software.

Hmmmmmm, They should work then. it's not like your trying some cheap connector etc. Might be time to take it to the stealership and see if there is an issue with the OBD2 port.

So check this out, if you bought it used, it is quite possible that sometime in the past, one of those Buy Here Pay Here shady car lots put a fake OBD-II connector on your car. Yes, the do they because they install interlocks that won't let the car start if you miss a car payment.

You'll have to dig around in there to see if that was done to you.

I am The second owner of the car and we were able to use the OBD to diagnose a problem with the transmission control module last year and get it fixed. So I'm not sure why it's not working now. Maybe a faulty wire or something else.
