I couldnt find anything in the searches. I was wondering if OEM Mazda3 wheels will fit the P5 at stock height without rubbing. I understand the overall diameter is approximately 1" taller. The extra side wall is nice because of the crappy streets in my area.

check the offset, it will be very close.
I am running 225-45-17's and have less than a centimeter of clearance from the struts, the 205-50 is roughly .4% larger in diameter. (225-45 = about 24.9" 205-50 = 25.07")
that is with a +47 offset. (+55 with 8mm spacers)
I considered running 205-50's, but after checking the diameter I realized they would be a very tight fit and didnt want to risk it.
also, I get the occasional rub on the rear fenders, even with them rolled a little.
the 205's are almost an inch less in width, so that might be good enough to allow you to clear both the struts and the fender with around a +48mm offset. if its a +50mm offset or higher, you risk hitting the struts, if its a +45mm or lower, you risk hitting the fenders.

I had the Mazda 3 snowflakes on my car with the stock 205/50/17 tires before I had bought 205/45/17R tires and haven't had a problem with either of them at all.
