All I care is that they put the AWD drivetrain in there. We can already see that the 2.3 has excellent potential. And the 2.3DI will have even more potential than this. So I just hope they put the AWD drivetrain in there to handle the power potential.chaosProtege said:probably **** it up, but we can hope and pray they dont!! lol. nice numbers, btw.
HiBoost TS said:Well it is a matter of experience and testing. All tracks are different, all cars are different and the best is to practice. My best on street tires has been 13.7, but I have to be very easy on the throttle on first and second gear. I launch at around 5500 RPMs.

HiBoost TS said:We raced our Mazda3 last saturday again and it seems to get better and better. The car hit an amazing 12.7 at 116 MPH at 14 psi of boost.
Still has stock clutch, stock engine and transmission. I did it on race slicks, and rear skinnies, but everything else on its place. All seats and even the floor mats were left in the car.
I started doing 13.7 but the track kept getting better and better and since I do not have a LSD I was spinning all first and half of second gear. Then a 13.4, 13.0, 3 times 12.8 and the best 12.7 at the end of the night.
I did a 1.8 0 to 60. The car felt perfect however at the end I was smelling a little of clutch bieng burned thru the track. I shifted at the redline always to avoid a clutch failure, but i do need a better unit to install the big boost kit.
