mazda 3 clutch

So i have a 08 mazda 3 i 2.0 5 speed and i was wanting to know how much punishment can a mazda 3 clutch/transmission take before it gives. I bought the car new and before that i hadn't driven a stick shift in over 4 years so it was kinda of a learning experience all over again. The reason why i ask is my wife wants to learn how to drive a stick and i was just wanting to know how much punishment can the clutch/transmission take before it gives because so far it hasn't been ever pretty with the practice runs we have been having at the local wal mart.

Well I have an 06 base 3 5 speed with over 120,000 miles & the clutch feels as tight as ever. I also taught my daughter how to drive a manual & she is the King of clutch riders. It's like they put in the plate for a truck or something. (dance)

I bought my 05 used, learned on it, taught my girlfriend to drive stick on it, and let my teacher drive from NY to DC (and he had to pretty much re-learn and he rode the clutch A LOT and tried to start in 3rd instead of first in heavy traffic many many times. I did get an A in the class though!)

Still feels fine to me....but from now on I will be the only one driving it.
