I have H&R lower sport springs on my 2 and have major wear on the inside of my tires, are there any camber kits out there that will fit to correct the negative camber?

H&R sells the camber bolts to fix this. The run about $40 for a set.

I think tirerack.com has a kit for the 2. How bad are your tires wearing on the inside? I've only had my Eibach springs on for 2,000 miles and I already notice wear on the insides of the front tires. I thought it might be due to me driving around curves too fast but I figured if it were because of that the outsides would be worn too.

Did you take the car for alignment? , camber doesn't kill tires as having wrong toe.

Yea I should probably get an alignment too. I've noticed the biggest camber issue is in the rear... which I dont think camber bolts will correct...

Guys. An alignment is a MUST when ever you lower your ride after installing springs or coilovers. I speak from experience, the bad kind. (headshake

SPC also makes camber bolts for a lot less $$$$$ Available on Amazon. Part number 81250. Up to a 1.75 degree camber change.

Dropping the car causes toe-in which when combined with camber puts a real stress on the inside of the tires.

Fix the toe and you solve about 90 percent of the wear. Then you can put the camber where you want it for best bite.

Drove on my two for who know about 6 or 7 thousand. Lets just say within a year I need to get new tires.

Is this going to effect the rears too where youd need a 4 wheel alignment?

Dropping the rear in the 2 shouldn't change the camber since it it a solid H beam rear axle.

Camber bolts in the front as above. To change camber or toe in the rear you'll need shims to go between the rear hubs and the beam.

John

I dropped my 2 about a year ago on H&R springs and had a 4 wheel alignment done at that time. I've had no uneven tire wear, and the only thing that threw off my camber and toe was the sway bar, which my dealership was able to correct to spec without any additional camber bolts or shims.

You're right that toe is usually the killer of tires.
Toe-In kills the outside of the tires, Toe-Out kills the inside... I believe our cars gain toe out when dropped, so zero that toe for a street driven car.

Okay got an allignment and I still need to get the camber kit. Do I need one kit, or two? One for the front & one for the back? Or do the back require more that bolts?

Rchrist i jsut recently purchased some front camber bolt from corksport. brand new didnt get to use it. i'll sell it to u the same price i got it minus the shipping i paid for... let me know if ur interested.

The rear is a solid H beam. Dropping the rear will not change the toe or camber to any degree.

The front is independent so that is the reason for the alignment change from dropping it.

If the rear alignment gets screwed up due to banging off of a curb (or whatever) the only fix is shims between the rear axle and the bolted on hubs.

How much camber do you have in the front? A little negative camber isn't so bad as long as the toe is OK.

John

Idk but enough for major interior wear. Replacing my tires under one year if that shows you how much wear in how much time.

Going the opposite direction, here are a few pictures of the maximum amount of negative camber you can get with the H&R springs and the H&R camber bolts.
