Maybe a solution for FMU system

How does it "supply" fuel with an FMU? Do we force air into it to create positive pressure on the incoming line or something?

The FMU cuts back the amount of fuel returning to the gas tank, effectively raising the pressure in the fuel rail. This allows more fuel to get into the engine.

I just emailed them yesterday actually. I was talkin to a guy that builds turbos around here and he said that they were comming out with something to retard timing on protege`s. I will post if he replies

Talk to Jeff at Nology, the last time I talked to him I beleive he said that they are working on a new ignition system, complete with new coils.

This is awesome news! Keep us informed!

Same here.

He told me they could be finished as early as the begining of April. I'm not in the right money situation to get it now but I will need it soon.

Just for the record, The LINK fried my coils:mad:
Just replaced them and the car runs fine, however I no longer have ignition retard, so I lowered the boost to 7psi.
If nology comes out with a system for our car that would be great:)

terry would we still need this with ur stage 4? or would that take care of everything? What do these unit usually run$$?

Anyone think about trying a J&S Safeguard? So far I am the only one to try one. I should have turned up the boost retard.:( I wonder If I got some bad gas?

i just got the email back from msd, i hope i asked the right questions. :(

Sir
Unfortunately we do not offer an ignition system for your application, the factory ignition on your application have a transistorized/coil assembly, and with this type of set up you will not be able to adapt an aftermarket ignition. If you do try to install it, it will damage the transistors internally and will not start on factory ignition, plus the transistor have to remain in place for the factory ignition.

THANK YOU

just got it today. i sent it to him 3 days ago but i didnt include the engine size so i had to send it back writing 2.0l

Interesting... Hey linux, does the FSZE come with a distributor or is it distributless like our engines? I could swear the pictures looked like it did have one, anyhow if our keeping your engine and it does have the distributor you'd have it easier finding a aftermarket replacment ignition, like MSD.
