What the dealership has committed to in legal terms is called "bushing." Which is not only illegal, but looked down on heavily in the automotive industry. In short, if you have negotiated and agreed to financial terms on both ends with paperwork signed, any error made on either party's side is bound by contract. Meaning, if you have negotiated a down payment, a purchase price, financing terms and all was approved when you left the dealership then the car is yours.
Any error made on their end is contractually binding, and for them to go back on it is illegal. I highly reccommend securing some legal council before visiting the F&I folks again at your dealership. If you have any other questions PM me.
