Maximum tire diameter

Just curious if anyone has done any research on the maximum tire size you can fit, both width and especially diameter.

Looks like the factory 18" tire is just under 30" diameter. Anyone tried to go larger overall diameter?

I usually don't change diameter 'cause it throws the odometer off.
What is your reasons for doing that?

twofold. One, I prefer taller aspect ratios. Of course I could also go to a 17" wheel to accomplish that.

2, I would prefer an "all-terrain" tire to the H/L type, and the ones I'm seeing are slightly larger, like 31.1" vs the 29.8" I have always gone with taller tires on my cars and just deal with the difference in speedo/odo.

A few have run 265/50/20 which is 30.5, no issues.

ive got a 30.2" and it fits nice it closed the huge wheel well gap and gave it a nicer look without losing ground clearance
