Ok I know I should know this....but hey Mazda does not fill me in on that. LOL Now I know about what is important, what's under the hood.

I guess i would like to know what is the most boost anyone has pushed on it.

on an MS3 ? um...probably only 18-19 lbs until a tuning software comes out.

i think people in the MS6's have gone past 20lbs, just not sure.

Wow that is alot to me. I could not imagine. I don't think we went higher than 18 with our WRX and it's upgraded turbo and front mount and ECU reflash. I would not want to mess with the boost til after the warranty is up.

it's been shown on dyno's that the speed6 at least is still sitting in the 10's when running up to 20psi. though i will never say tuning is pointless....it has been researched, and shown. tuning can add more power i'm sure....but on the safety side, since nothing does timing yet anyhow...what's the point?

wow... i haven't seen one person talk about tuning the car ....

this site is full of FI noobs man.

No one is worried about A/F levels while pushing up the boost ? MBC and EBC ain't gonna do s*** in the MS3. Its all controlled by the ECU, and without some type of scanning tool/piggy back/stand alone, ur playing russian roulette. Before turning up the boost, why don't you tune the mods you already have and spend your money on a good software to tune with ? Too much boost (without being properly tuned) will only hurt you more in the end.

and Craighjr, boost spike is NOT a good thing.

EDIT: And to add. Stock Boost in the MS3.

1st gear - 9 lbs.
2nd gear - 11 lbs.
3-6th gear - just under 16 lbs.

you guys need to do research on the car you all own.

When I said "supporting mods" all this was included in what I meant. I've done the research and knew the stock settings for the car. My question was if someone had tried any more and what could possibly be done safely from knowlege gained as of now. I'm not going to just boost the car without doing everything right. That causes nothing but trouble. I know that just an EBC or MBC isn't the way to go. This isn't my first turbo FI car so I'm well aware of the things that need to be done to handle the boost increase safely. Thanks for your input tho. It seems to have helped some others that weren't too sure on some things about the MS3.

its good to know mazda hasn't dropped the ball on extremely conservatively tuned ECUs. I was worried you new speed3 guys where gonna be breaking MSP records left and right.

fuel cut & bumper blackening Air/Fuels, welcome to the Mazdaspeed family!
