Massive/Violent Hesitation

When I am at more then 1/4 throttle when accelerating and around 3500rpm my car feels like it hits a brick wall. It is a very violent hesitation! Has anyone else had the same issue and what could be causing it? The car has already had the factory reflash.

same issue here, it happens when i go over 4psi
not sure what it is, maybe bad gas or something

any input would be awesome

Yeah. I don't think it's bad gas. Do you know if there in a flap in the the intake manifold that opens at a certain rpm?

yea there are 2 flaps..might be ur problem but i have a 626 mani so i doubt its mine
it just recently started

how cold is it where you are? what conditions does it start under?

For me the weather conditions don't matter. It does it under when accelerating at more then 1/4 throttle.

its like 40-50 degress
it just started like 3 days ago, drove 2.5 hours, fine the whole way
filled up and it started doing it, only happens above 4 psi, when it happens i get massive whip lash and a CEL pops up

oh and forgot to mention, it sorta sounds like a 2step when it happens
the RPMs kinda jump around, like its hitting a rev limiter or somethng

I also get a check engine light if the car idles for a few minutes. The code is for a lean condition.

most typical issue with the fuel cut is a leak in the intake. There are a lot of places that have issues with this car, there is that nipple for the BPV, the turbo outlet, the WGA almost any leak can give you that symptom. Try looking the engine over to be sure that your not about to lose a pipe and you don't have any cracked vac lines. Good luck and tell us the code once you've had it read.

went to get the code read today, and he couldnt read it
the code went away right when i got to advanced auto...freakin gay

so i decide to buy a cheap code reader and try to get the engine to do the same thing so i can get the CEL back and read it

AND IT DOESNT DO IT lol in 4th it had some hesitation but in 2nd and 3rd it didnt do it at all
so it must have been bad gas or something like that in my case

Check your coil packs? If you're boosting the slightest bit and lose a coil, the misfire is gonna hit you in the gut like if you hit fuel-cut.

yeah i remember when my coils ****** up and my car s*** the bed bad then the engine light started flashing
