Manual boost control valve

OK, so I don't know a whole lot about the turbo system yet. I know we are running about 15.6 stock, and I know alot of people run 18-19psi and I gather that is pretty safe. I'm just curious if you get there by running software, or can this be accomlished by a manual boost controller. So far, my mods to date are Cobb SRI, and Cobb stage II suspension. I have in the mail the PG turbo inlet, HKS BOV with recirc kit, Race pipe, and catch can. Can someone help me out a little. I'm guessing these mods wont make much difference without using a AP something. Is the accept port how you adjust your boost? Thanks for helping out a turbo noob.

manual boost controllers work fine. there are a few running them on here.

just curious as to why you have ordered a catch can??

If you look at some of the poeple who have them on here an how much gunk it gets out of the system you would be amazed. They are cheap, and keep alot of stuff out of the system. Here is what one of the pics looks like after only 2 weeks of it being on the system.
