Mandrel bending shop is almost ready for business

Now this stuff follows the function over bling philosophy. Cheap, effective and fun. But can you meet the production demands without a 6 month wait?

2 guys with no lives working 20hrs a day...hehe I think we'll be able to keep up...like i said we just have to finish setting up the shop...the builders are taking a little longer than they were supposed to and the leasing office just makes excuses...but in 2 weeks tops we'll be making pipes, even if I have to rent a uhaul storage place! Man we just got the new mandrel bender...dude it looks like a midevil torture device....im getting excited to have all these new shiny play toys...hehe anyone want to enter a pool on how long it takes for someone to bend an arm instead of a pipe? At any rate thanks for all the posts, it just makes us want to work even faster to get everything going...

I took a picture of the resonator pipe I suggested; It only has three bends, as I thought, and looks like it would be an easy fabrication, I would think. A 2.25" section with/without a good resonator would be really cool. =)

Yep, you're right, I was thinking of the OBX exhaust, it has like 6 bends.

maybe waaaay down the road...but for now we're concentrating on hardpipes, midpipes, and intakes....namely the first 2. After we get established and move some products to fund R&D we'll be more than likely looking into an inexpensive fmic package, then maybe DPs. At the moment we're currently debating which materials to use/offer..on the list is galvanized steel, galvanized aluminum, and stainless steel(very expensive and doesnt really offer any advantages other than being shiny..hehe against our motto!). I'm not too worried about rusting as everything that leaves this shop is painted, sealed, and warrantied for life even against rust. The thing that will weigh most heavily is getting the lowest prices for you guys and not killing ourselves with hard to work with metals...
