MAM SS or HiBoost

Is there any updates or release dates for the bigger kit? Also, i'm guessing the 20psi is strictly for the track, so on the kit that is now offered, what would be a safe street-daily driven psi. And if possible, could you include a guesstimate on the pricing of the bigger kit.Thanx
The "BIG BOOST" 400+ WHP kit will include the following:

All of our regular kit plus:

Bigger GT30R Turbo
Bigger Turbo Manifold
Tial 38 mm Wastegate
Haltech E6X pre mapped and pre wired with 3 bar MAP sensor
440 or 550 cc injectors
Lower CR (8.5 to 1) Mazda pistons and Pauter forged rods
Head Gasket
New piston rings
Cam seals
HKS SSQV or Greddy Type "S" BOV
Intake system

The price will be around $6,200.00

The kits will be also available with all the additions but with the standard turbo for up to 350 WHP for around $5,600.00.

sponser me juan. i beg of you.

ok, here are some independantly conducted dynographs of the MAM Street Sleeper kit:

dynorun025 is at 6psi, GT28r (current kit is a GT28rs or GT2871R), MPI tuned, with stick midpipe (with stock cat), a 2.25" magnaflow cat back exhaust, and a 2.25" downpipe (current kit comes with a 2.5" downpipe) also the current kit comes with a MAM midpipe which would improve spool times and power as well.

dynorun026 is at 11psi, same parts as at 6psi, all A/F ratios were in the optimal range, but you can see where the rod went through the block (good reason to go forged), but notice how fast the numbers were still climbing at the time of the critical failure. by the way it blew up at 4300 rpms

Beau should have some more up to date numbers soon after his dyno day coming up.

Is your manifold for this kit going to be a tubular or similar to your current setup?

This run was done with a stock midpipe and stock cat.Only mod was a 2.25" Magnaflow catback and it put down 186whp.This run was done with a GT28R as well..We will be dynoing our Sleeper kit with a GT28RS in 2 weeks for our anual dyno day.
Since this dyno graph here, we now use a 2.5" downpipe and a GT28RS.So I would expect the numbers to be around 200whp at 7psi and 5500RPM's.

The manifold is already finished. It is cast unit, but it is a tubular style with four separate runners and a collector at the turbo flange. This unit will take GT28 series or Gt30R series turbos with the Inlet facing the gearbox side just like the MSPs but a little higher.

With it being similar to your current manifold and having short runners, have you done any back pressure tests to ensure the manifold is efficient(flows enough) to support 400WHP? At what boost levels do you expect 400whp and what is your manifold pressure?

I make manifolds for 800 HP Hondas and The RSX units tested to flow enough for 645 WHP. The protege one is similar to those.

Yes, the tests have been done with more than enough for 400 WHP.

I will get back to my office by next week. I will look the info and then give it to you with no problem. Also, do you have the midpipe with the highflow cat available for inmediate shipping? The catless?

Let me know.

juan:

with the setup that i have, 440CC injector, forged rod , LC piston,vf22, ACT clutch , if i run at 20psi, what will be the expected WHP and torque ?
can i get 300whp?

Yes we do

Hi Kasman,

That is what you should get. Around 300 to 320 WHP. The injectors are going to be close to the limit, but they are enough.

50 lbs of fuel make 100 HP. 42 x 4 =168 168 Lbs is enough for 336 HP.

Remember to use race fuel on that setup at 20 lbs. I run up to 22 lbs at the track.

:D !
by the way, i'm using walbro 255 lph fpump. And just in case , i've bought used and flow tested EVO 520cc injectors.
