MAM SS or HiBoost

If I wanted to run 10 or 13 psi I would need rods, correct?
10 psi is ok but for 13 psi you need bigger injectors, rods and Haltech E6X, altought the dyno run was made only with the upgraded injectors. The stock rods and the Haltech F10 was still in there. It was run on 100 octane fuel.

The kits are different. What do you want?
Gt28RS or IHI VF22?
SS or cast iron manifolds?
Intercooler size? (MAM is bigger if you want to go more power with forged)
Engine Management? (Hiboost has Haltech, MAM has Clamp, MPI, and is working on AEM)
Looks? (Your own opinion, I do like how MAM polishes and finishes every piece though...)
Price? (Similarly priced unless you want the AEM, then HIboost is cheaper. If you want to find your own engine management, MAM is cheaper)
I have owned both the HIboost kit with E6X and then now have the MAM Thumper kit (larger turbo and E.L. manifold). I am waiting on the AEM to finish it off. Although it cost more, I am extremely pleased with MAM's level of attention to each piece of the kit and his friendly service.

Hey guys... give it a rest with the passive aggresive sarcasm already. Leave the thread as objective as possible - This conjecture is getting tired.
i second that

Yea I don't want to start anything, I just want to know what kit gives out what numbers. Basically what kit gives out more power without having to get into the motor.
Why not ask the manufacturers for dyno sheets and the tune for each sheet?

woa, you made the 300lb/ft on the stock rods?
Yes, just those two runs and a couple of runs at 13 psi at the track. I was really affraid a rod would come out of the block, so we installed lower 8.5 to 1 pistons and pauter rods.

wow, that sucker must have been tuned WELL!!
were you getting any knocking?
The kit works good at 9 psi on 91octane, 12 on 93 octane. More than this you need 100 octane or Haltech E6X to retard the timing.

If it would knock, a rod could have broken easily.

Hey Juan, what psi were you running in that video against the Evo?
20 Lbs of boost, however It could have been a little better as I was launch very conservative and shifting at 6500. Maybe very low 12 could be done.

Were you on slicks and LSD because there's no way you get beat and EVO from the line like that launching "conservative"?

It was on slicks and in that run I made 2.1 sec 60 ft. I made in 1.8 in one run before at 17 psi and made 12.7.

That is why I said that 12.2 could be easily done with our setup.

It was on stock tranny with no LSD. Besides, the tires are very small and that hearts the top speed. I will get larger tires for next time as we will need them with more HP.

Juan

what clutch are you using Juan? I'm in the market for a new clutch and wanted to see what you were using.

Were those #'s acquired with the turbo kit that is advertised on your website, or is that the new kit that you were working on? Also can you list the parts that were used on your car in the run vs the evo. Thanks.
