UPDATED! Install pics!

The kit is very near completion. We are hopefully going to crank her up today (Sunday) and get it mildly tuned, and do a few misc last things.

Here are pics from today. We worked from about 11am-1am.

Many thanks go to Linuxracr, AODfan, RyanJayG, dudeonacouch, and Beau for being available nearly EVERYTIME we called, which was maybe 5-8 times! :)

ANYWAY. on to pics!

having said that, anyone know the mp3 stock alignment numbers? My GCs are in, and obviously, I'll need an alignment. I tried searching for the stock alignment info, want something concrete.

Just doing some homework before we install my MAM SS kit this weekend. Does anyone have torque numbers for the manifold, oil pan, etc?

I'd really appreciate it.
Get a Mazda FSM or Shop Manual (Chilton, Haynes)

if one was available around here, i wouldn't have posted.

but thanks anyways for the help (thumb)

Oil pan is 14-18 ft*lbs. . .the stock "adhesive" is very tough to get off. Then just use RTV to seal it up (I used Ultra Black with no problems).

Manifold is 14-16 ft*lbs but good luck getting a torque wrench in there (but maybe the MAM manifold has more room).

The bead side of the exhaust manifold gasket goes to the manifold side too.

You'll have some oil (and cooling?) lines to hook up too, but there aren't really torque specs for those. . .just get them tight because leaks suck.

Thanks little beavis!

Also, I still want to swing by your place on the way back, depending on how "tuned" we get the MPI :D

Thanks Beau. And a big THANK YOU for helping me meet my 'final' deadline.

VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!! (thumb)(thumb)

thats the "cheap" service manual. Doesn't have it.
It has everything in it...That is the shop manual from mazdaspeed Motorsports.

The pictures tell you exactly what the torque specs are.

yes, you are very correct.. and now that I have seen this thread I have since smacked him upside the head a few times for not paying attention

i was like, i thought they were in there, and then i was too lazy to check so i assumed i was wrong....=P
