That is just what I remember.. Mabey it is bull-s***.

This cat-back... So it is a full replacement except the stock downpipe piece right? basically the best way to go about it because you dont have to mess with the o2 sensor or a check engine light right??

Krillin and my car were the prototypes. We both have the Protosport DP, and Magnaflow cat back. I didnt like the sound of mine with the DP. Too loud. And Krillin still has his, and seems to like it.

If you were to only install the cat-back exhaust from magnaflow... Would you have to splice in the o2 signal modifier to keep the check engine light from comming on?

i believe not. i think thats only for if you install a different header like awr or racingmazda.

Header?? I think you mean downpipe...


I think so too, from looking at pictures it looks like the magnaflow exhaust bolts up to the downpipe and the o2 sensor goes into the downpipe about 2-3 inches from where the cat back bolts onto.

A cat-back is after the cats...so since you don't touch them, you won't need to mess with any O2 sensor crap. If you got a catless downpipe, then you would need to.

um... the check engine light would only go on if you removed the cats, with a catless downpipe. Like I did. Shouldnt be a problem with the cat back

Dynomax is what I recommend for turbo guys!
If you want to have an idea of ho it sounds, download my videos.
My setup is a Spool turbo, 2.5inch turboback, NO CATS, only a resonator and a Dynomax.
