Its got both a hot wire & cold wire. It works similar to a Focus as the air blows through, the right amount of air funnels it way into the sensor housing, hitting both hot and cold wires. Computer adjusts the mixture based off the the amount of air flowing across the wires. Its considered a " blow through " maf.
