M3 style mirror with LED

My girlfriend (who has laser blue P5wants to buy mirrors with LED. They dont have to be a M3 style but I guess there is only one choice of style.
Anyhow, I was looking for it on the web and I found one on Ebay. The mirrors are looking good and cheap (compared to the same style mirrors for my car).

Does anyone have this kinda mirror on your car? if so, are they plug & play? She wants powered mirror with LED. mirrors in the picture shown below are not powered.

if you know any good place to buy those kinda mirrors, let me know!

I have those mirrors

The mirrors are great, but are definately NOT plug n play.
The harnesses don't match, and you have to play with the wires to figure out the direction of the mirrors goes and i still couldn't get it right. Running the wires to the signal light is also a bit of a pain to run. You also have to use the rubber housing from the original mirrors. Another thing is I had to tap in some threads to bolt on on the mirrors. Overall I'm happy with them but they're not as easy to install as i'd hoped.

Holy s*** G_man, I'm diggin your car. Love how the stripes look on it. Are they Vinyl or paint? And the mirrors look great as well. Got any more pics anywhere of it.

i had the same mirrors.. except with the amber light not the blue.. they are not plug and play.. dont believe the hype.

the mirrors themselves dont look bad, i just think theres too much lighting and blinking lights that the LED mirrors arent necessary in that aspect.

Would it be possible to remove the OEM plastic backs of the mirrors & install LED - or no room??

Well, I opended the box and read the instructions. I went to my car and took everything apart. I pulled the mirrors out of the box, and started putting them together loosley just to see how they would fit in. Then all of a sudden, I didn't want them anymore. I don't know why, I just didn't. So now they are sitting in my closet still new and in the box. They never even touched my car.

Yes you could do this. All you would need to do is take off your mirror assembly, then take out the mirror. Go to Pep Boys or something and get a turn signal light. Then use a dremel tool to cut out a hole the same size as the light. Slip the light in and connect all the wiring, reassemble and you're done!

they are called m3 mirrors cause they belong on a BMW M3...just like Altezza lights belong on an IS300...just my opinion though...

also, gman, sweet ride, would look SICK if all those roll call graphics were tossed in the trash though.
