so just shy of 23000 miles and my 18 mo M2 got peppered by some hail...
...the insurer gets me into an 800 mile 2013 Avenger ...
...it's been over a week and the automatic Dodge is a major POS. I wanted the Mini or the 500 but there is a line a mile long trying to rent those. My M2 is the base model called Sport here in the States. The Avenger would compare more to a Touring model option wise. I miss the 2. The Dodge has crappy plastic bits that feel cheap everywhere. But it is complemented by some leather/pleather accents. The dash is OK. The fuel economy sucks and the engine sounds like a washing machine pinging away under load. Everytime I would gun it, it would buck first then downshift and pull. On long hills with cruise on the constant bucking makes for an annoying ride. engine has good torque and suspension is terrible feeling like a Fit or Fiesta.

I miss my 2:-(

Haaaa. Poor you. My first ever car was a 1999 Chrysler Intrepid ES. I will never buy Dodge-Chrysler again.... My problem was the transmission.

The dodge Dart would have been nice !

The tranny sounds like what I experienced during my fiesta test drive. The sales guy pretended not to feel it, but the buck was way too noticeable to ignore, felt like I just popped the clutch for no reason.

finally free

The body shop finished my car and I finished my 14 day sentence in Dodge Avenger prison. That was punishment for leaving my poor 2 out exposed to hail.

I once had a 2008 VW R32 and needed to get some service that took a day or two. They gave me a yellow VW Beetle. Now that was painful! :)

You should have beat the hell out of the Avenger:)

I always enjoyed full speed railroad track jumping in rentals.
