Ok everyone here's the 411 on the stickers, decals, vinyls or whatever you want to call them.
I went to Aloha Signs today and submited the designs to them. The design Ash made (graffiti style) is in the process of being cleaned up as is the text logo that says "Mazda Performance Club of Hawaii." However, the rotary logo that Mike designed isn't gonna work out as it sits right now.
So, me and Mike discussed what we should do for the rotary guys this afternoon. I suggested that if we added the graffiti style text to the rotary design it would bring more symmetry to our graphics. In other words it wouldn't look like our rotary members were in a completely different club. Mike agreed and was going to add that to his design. Then we realized it would be easier to just get a seperate rotor made as a vinyl that could be laid underneath the vinyl that everyone else is running.
Still with me? I hope so. So what this boils down to is we will all be running the same logo, but the rotary guys will be running a rotor underneath of theirs. This will make production easier and hopefully cheaper. (It cost $26 to get the graffiti logo cleaned up for production, so we really don't want to have to have another logo cleaned up.)
The designs should be ready to go into production by Saturday with the possible exception of the rotor. We're gonna try to get the rotor to them tomorrow and rush it into production. Hopefully, they'll be ready to pick up before the BBQ/Cruise on the 25th.
Unfortunately, since these are in preproduction I can't provide a cost estimate. THe cost of each decal will be dependent upon the amount ordered. So, the more ordered the better. I am shooting for $10 for one graffiti logo and MPC of Hawaii text. If we can get that, it will 50% off what the old shop wanted to charge. We need to get an order put in by Saturday. So, you guys are gonna have to trust me in that I will not go ahead with the order if the price ends up being way over that.
I am going to bank roll the first order. So, please do not order something you won't be able to pay for at the BBQ. I will let everyone know if the price doesn't work out and the order doesn't go through. All orders must be submited by no later than 8:00 AM Saturday the 17th of July.
Ok for all of you who I have completely confused or don't know what the logos look like here's what you can expect:
The M-SPEC logo (refered to as the graffiti logo as to not confuse it with the old logo.
The MPC of Hawaii text (this will be run beneath the M-SPEC logo but can be left off if you like, thus the reason it will be produced seperately.)
Basic of idea of how it will look together:
The old logo (this is the old rotary logo which is being replaced. However, you can use your imagination to see how the new logo will be over-laid on to the rotor.)
Stickers will be produced in 4" and 6" sizes. Be sure to specify which size you want.
As for colors, it's up to the buyer. I'm gonna run Orange on mine so it won't conflict with the roll call I plan to add for the show this winter. However, the "official" color of the club's logo is going to be close to the titanium color used on the MSP, MSM, etc. So, if you don't list a seperate color your stickers will be produced in titanium.
I would recomend that the rotary guys choose a different color for their rotor sticker so the M-SPEC logo is still completely visible when over-laid. Something like white or black.
