there's a solution for your msp radio pocket w/o spending the $26-$31 i was quoted for the bracket @ various mazda dealers.

It only cost $1.50 and can be found @ Home Depot.

wanna know more?

supplies needed:
- square tubing (details below)
- drill w/ 3/16 bit
- 2 zip ties.

in the section @ home depot where they sell threaded and smooth rods and bars and various sizes of metal, look for a piece of square tubing.

the size is: 3/16" x 12"
(the tag reads:
'SQUARE ROD
ZINC PLATED
3/16" x 12"')

purchase it, i recommend the self checkout.

where the oem hole is for the bracket, drill a hole about a quarter inch above and below the oem hole on both sides.

very loosely install both zip ties. one on each side. start it from the back side.

put tubing, from the back side in the zip ties.

tighten zip ties.

cut excess off.

that's it!

did that make any sense?
