- Looking to buy a 2016 CX-5
OK, so I'm wanting a CX 5.
There's only one problem. No matter how much I adjust the seat, I sit up too high.
This has always been a problem for me, that's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I'm 6'5" and weigh 285. I never thought about this till recently, but as I've gotten older and fatter, one of the (many) areas of me that is bigger is my ass, so I sit higher up in the seat than I did when I weighed 175.
I solved this problem with my '70 Chevelle by swapping to Camaro seat brackets. They dropped the seat 2", and it was great!
I solved it with my '89 Firebird by swapping to Fiero brackets. They dropped the seat an inch, or so, and it was much improved.
I solved it with my '96 Jeep Cherokee by having the seat brackets cut and welded back together, then pounding the bejesus out of the hump in the driver's-side floorboard for the transfer case with a big freakin' hammer. I got nearly 3" drop, and it is awesome!
Is there a solution for the CX 5?
