Lowering Options for the MSP

^^^ i've done it in the past; however, i'd opt for jus replacing the struts.
i know some people who have gotten away with cutting one turn off their springs; although, if your a spirited driver, i would advise against cutting them.

Yeah I didnt think it would be a good idea either.. But just threw it out there since I've heard ppl doing it, didn't know if this was too bright though lol. So I guess for now my options are to stay the same til I can afford new struts, or go to stock rears til I can afford new struts lol..

I lowered the front of my MSP... never touched the back, and was VERY happy with it. Speaking of, I still have the spool rear springs in my basement. lol

Haha so you just kept stock rears on? I honestly did think my rear looked pretty low stock, just wanted the front lower, just would have never thought to pay for all 4 springs and only use two..

i want to see a picture of the ground control sleeve off the car if anyone has it? and what is the price of those new?

They are adjustable height so... basically every pic of a lowered protege on this site could represent the look.

However, every other protege on this site will probably be more comfortable and outhandle coilover sleeve kits too.

As for your other question:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...und+Control+Protege&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Which is nearly half of what a new set of REAL coilovers costs.

so they are a bad option to a real coilover? basically getting what you pay for

so my next question being.... what is a good coilover to run where the car doesnt ride stiffer than a you know what? or cant i have cake and eat it too? haha

if you run them on full soft it won't rattle your fillings out, but its not going to be a factory ride by any means either. BC is the standard, you can also look at yellowspeed (newer offering), tien.. I wouldn't recommend megans. ksport has mixed reviews as some of their stuff seems to blow shocks way earlier than you'd expect.
