lowered ride question

I have a civic with tein s springs and kyb agx shocks. I was wanting to do the same on the P5, but was wondering how bumpy the ride will be and what the ride hieght is. My civic is awfully bumpy but it corners like crazy. I like the ride of the p5 right now and don't want it to get too much worse because of long trips. If there is something better let me know. I plan on taking the P5 to hot import nights this summer and need to start figuring out things to get it ready. Thanks guys.

I have Eibachs and they ride as nice as stock but are progressive. I live in the mountains and have plenty of twisty mountain roads to play on. The Eibachs ride like normal until you start to work them. The harder you push them the harder they work. They dropped my car almost 2 inches. Then I added a rear SRmotorsports 19mm sway bar and my corning is out of this world. I am now able to take 15 mph corners at 42 mph.

So I'd say try the Eibachs. Hey NASCAR will be using them next year.

In the pic I posted my blue P5 has the Eibachs and the black one has racing beat springs from a MP3.

Eibach pro kit or H&R any suggestions. I to have the same problem with my p5. What to use?????

The Eibach's drop is 1.4" in front and 1.2" in back IIRC. I am on factory shocks and they are not too bad. They are almost worn out now though after 30k on springs. With the rear sway it handles like mad. I had an Integ with Neuspeed springs and AGX's and this handles much better, even with factory shocks. I will be upgrading to Tokiko HP's in the spring...

I have the S-Techs on my P5 and it drives great. I believe the drop in the front is 1.8 and 1.4 in the rear. It handles better and is tighter in the corners. The ride is somewhat stiffer but not that much. I kept my original struts on and have been very pleased with the performance and look.

Good luck in your decision.

Eibach Prokit and Tein S-techs both give the same amout of drop. The Eibachs are set for handling, where the Teins are softer.

I have the Prokit with Tokico HPS, and I LOVE the combo. The ride is stiffer than stock, but not enought that people have ever complained.

H&R Sport springs. Love them. almost a 2 inch drop..a bit lower than the Eibach but more streetable. Progressive all the way around and no clunks or noises. Awesome on the highway.

I too, have the Teins. I've had them on for about 8,000 miles now with stock struts....no problems whatsoever. The ride is just slightly stiffer than stock, but it's a very comfortable ride.

I have the Tein S-Tech springs with Tokico HP-Blues on my ride. It's hot, there is no doubting it looks good. But when you put that in combo with low-pro rims you lose a lot of ride comfort. You dont notice it so much on the highway as long as there is not any construction, but you do notice it considerably in the city if there has been a lot of torn up roads where you live. If you happen to live in a perfectly paved city you will love it. Atlanta however is about as smooth as sliding down a mountain on your butt naked.

Cornering is definately wicked! I take turns at speeds you really probably shouldn't take turns at but you cant help it because you feel like your car is on a metal track and it just makes perfect turns all the time. It also got rid of a lot of my wheel hop. I used to have terrible wheel hop when taking sharp corners but now it's virtually wonderful.

You feel a little rattled here and there on rough roads, but it's still worth it. As for ride heights, it lowered my front about 1.6 Inches and my rear about 2.0 Inches.
