I ve notice my fan on my 07 mazda 3 hatch has gotten louder than normal when driving, i can hear it at stops with my engine idle. and when i come to a stop to turn off my engine, sounds like a turbine winding down.
I noticed today when I got in my driveway, I revved my engine to around 5500 and 6k RPMs and the fan turned off. Then turned on a few seconds later. So idk wtf is going on.
So does the fan get loud as soon as you start the car up (cold start).. or does it start kicking on after the temp goes up to normal. It might be a sensor or the rad might be taking a s*** soon. How does the rad pipes feel? are they hot? (becareful on touching them directly when its running because they might be really hot)
The fan turns on after Im driving it, when it warms up, then continues to stay on till i don't drive the car for more than an hour, (when it cools down) then turns back on after it warms up. My water level is fine an temp gauge still reads normal.
I would start with the thermastat since shes going up in temp now.. plus its the cheapest lol. If you get a check engine light I recommend that you immediately shut the car off.
