Lost CX-9 Key. Where to buy

Hello,

Have a 2010 CX-9. I have a set of keys, but need to buy an extra set (lost one). It's for a Remote Keyless Entry and for rear trunk. I can purchase it an my local dealership, but they want $30 for the blank key and $220 for the remote unit. Then an additional $40 to program it. Is this inline in pricing? Considered a "Smart" key.

You can buy via dealer, ebay, and some other internet sites. Ebay is the cheapest route. Buy a new fob on Ebay, usually it will come with a new knockoff aftermarket aux key. Just make sure the aux key has an rfid chip inside the keyblank.

If all you can find on ebay is the fob, just purchase the keyblank/auxkey from the dealer for 30 bucks.

If you only have one available working fob & aux key, yes, the dealer has to program it, 1 hour of labor, but you can buy it on ebay.
