looking for some parts

hi,
i'm looking for some parts and i've tried mazmart and other junk yards and they're too pricy, so im trying here. i'm looking for the luggage cover/privacy thing that goes in the Protege5 that covers the back half of the hatch. i'm also missing the plastic piece that covers the jack. i realize you wouldn't want to get rid of this unless you're getting rid of or parting out your car...but here's hopping). and i might be interested in a drivers floor mat. i'm trying to find someone from georgia (atlanta) to see if i can't meet up with someone in person (why pay for shipping?)

What you are looking for is called a hatch lid. When I bought my P5 (used), it came without a hatch lid. I still don't have one because they are really expensive from the dealership. Junk yards are hit and miss. Good luck.

I did a search of the forums back in Nov. and found a post from a Mazda employee that stated the price for a new hatch lid as $230. You might try posting a WTB in the for sale section - you might find someone willing to part with one.

Check the for sale listings again. I saw someone partiong out a totaled p5 while back.

I saw the deck lid on ebay for cheap a cuple days ago.

Just curious....how much are plannig on spending?

yeah I heard they were really expensive, too. Luckily someone was tearing out his stock interior stuff and didn't know they were expensive. So I got me a spare for free (I drilled holes in the original one to mount my camera).

i was quoted about 150 from mazmart, but i was hoping to spend something like 50. yeah, i want the hatch lid so i CAN have some bump. i had an accord with a nice stereo and it got stolen, so any distraction i can give theives, i'll take.
